Dear 10 year students,
June 2-6 in 2025, you have the opportunity to participate in
our school's new Holland exchange student program at Jacobus
Fruytier Scholengemeenschap of Apeldoorn, in the Netherlands.
The aim of this program is:
- to discover the Dutch Christian school system,
- to interact with foreign Reformed Christians and
- to experience social integration with Dutch teenagers.

To apply, candidates must agree to host students coming from Apeldoorn from 12 May to 16 May in 2025.
Dormitory students can participate in the program, but they are not required to host the exchange students from the Netherlands.
The application must include:
- Your academic results from the end of year 9
- Three recommendations (from your form teacher, English teacher and religion teacher)
- A copy of your B2 language exam certificate (while not mandatory, it is an advantage)
- A summary of your community activities
- A motivational letter in English explaining why you would like to participate in the program.
We would like to select the students who will participate in this program as soon as possible, so that we can purchase the plane tickets. The students will be placed with warm and welcoming Dutch families.
Expected expenses include:
-Airfare and transfers
-Insurance
-Pocket money
-Gifts for the host families
Staying with Dutch families provides a fantastic opportunity
to gain insight into local customs, taste local cuisine, and, above all,
practice English.
